Adoption Process

Every cat is an individual and we work hard to make great matches for our felines and adopters. Some cats may have placement restrictions or requirements established by us based on our foster home observations and previous home histories. When meeting with your purrspective cat(s), we will review the feline’s medical, behavior, and placement needs with you to help you find the purrfect cat who is compatible with your home environment and your lifestyle.

Adoption Requirements

  • You must be at least 21 years old to adopt

  • The entire household must be in agreement about adopting the cat you choose

  • You may not adopt for someone else or for a gift

  • Declawing is not allowed

  • All resident pets MUST be up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered.

  • If you rent, you must have proof of permission from your landlord to house a non-declawed cat.

Adoption Process

  • Complete an application.

  • You MUST submit the application before you meet the desired cat.

  • Your application will be reviewed and references contacted.

  • It can take up to 4 business days to process your application.

  • If application is approved, we will contact you to set up day/time to meet the feline you are interested in.   If the cat is the purrfect match, you will be able to take home.  If the cat you are interested is not a match, we will introduce you to others that may be compatible to your home and lifestyle.

  • If application is denied, you are contacted and informed of denial

Approved Application

Cat Meeting

  • Since the individual needs of each cat and adopter vary, we will work with you one-on-one to help you find the right match for your family.

  • We will then introduce you to cats who've caught your eye and/or seem like a good fit based on the information you've provided.

  • The adoption process generally takes at least an hour; we recommend that you allow ample time to learn about your new companion and complete the process.

  • Once you've made a decision, we'll go over some paperwork, take payment for the adoption fee, and you'll be leaving the meeting or adoption event with a new best friend!

What Happens If Multiple Applications for Same Cat
